“This work honours where we come from, our roots to a place of shared history. The paintings are an ode to a childhood spent growing up in rural Saskatchewan. They are fictitious places informed by memories of the place where I rode my bike down gravel roads, passed by fields staring out the windows of the school bus and learned to drive a stick shift old truck well before I ever went for my license. These are the landscapes of my youth where there was no traffic, everyone in town knew your name and the world was ripe with possibilities as big and expansive as the skies above.”
